Where we come from
Pieter Van Geest
Dutch-born yacht designer and project manager, has a broad experience in luxury power and sailing yachts.
A keen lifelong sailor and offshore skipper, Pieter earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial design in the Hague in 1996, working for Ron Holland design and Trintella shipyard during his studies. Pieter has more than a decade of experience in design, drawing, construction and engineering planning of production yachts and custom projects; he has performed design and structural work for major international builders and worked with designers such as Ron Holland, Frans Maas, René van der Velden. Pieter makes full use of 2d and 3d cad in accomplishing design and modelling.
Furniture - interior Designer
English-born furniture designer, Tracey was brought up in France and studied furniture design in Leeds, UK. In 2000 Tracey joined Ron Holland design to create interiors for yachts, starting with Boo Too to MirabellaV. She has since worked for Francis design in London, Hoek design in the Netherlands, where she did interior design and exterior styling for sailing yachts between 80 and 200 feet and worked closely with Rémi Tessier in Paris, project managing interiors, furniture manufacturing for exclusive sail and motor yachts from 50m to 95m.

Van Geest Design is a collective of amazing people striving & dedicating their full attention to the project
VGD integrates within its modeling process the naval architecture, engineering and class requirements. Designing simultaneously with the build requirements. the working philosophy is to recognize challenges and address solutions beforehand. All is integrated, technical space requirements, access to life rafts, air intake, engine room ventilation, crew circulation and so much more. VGD has managed projects under Lloyds, Rina and Solas regulation.
